Application Deadlines
Royal Roads University has a rolling admissions policy. In general, application deadlines are 3 months before the start date of a program. Please get in touch to find out about application deadlines for specific programs.
General Admission Requirements

Tuition Fees
If you’re a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada, you’ll pay domestic tuition fees.
If you’re not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada, you’ll pay international tuition fees.
Fees are subject to change without notice and are reviewed annually.

Currie Award in Honour of the Royal Canadian Naval College Class of 1947
- For students entering a Humanitarian Studies program or Leadership Studies with selfless dedication to volunteerism and community involvement.

- Available to entering doctoral cohorts prior to the start of their program.

Doctoral Scholarship for Research on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
- In support of RRU’s strategic priority to build applied research capacity in the field of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion,
- Up to $15,000 (renewable)
Doctoral Scholarship for Research on Sustainability and Climate Action
- RRU is offering an award to aid in the strategic priority to build applied research capacity in the field of Sustainability and Climate Change,

Greater Victoria Chamber 1863 Impact Award
- For students between 17 and 30 years of age, enrolled and entering certificate or degree programs at Royal Roads.
- $2,000
Project Hero Bursary
- The aim of this bursary is to reduce the financial barrier to an undergraduate education for dependents of Canadian Forces personnel deceased while serving in an active military mission.
- Up to $10,000
Royal Roads Entrance Award/Bursary
- RRU’s premier recruitment award that aims to reduce financial barriers to education through rewarding excellence and/or volunteerism.
- From $2,000 to $10,000
Royal Roads Entrance Award/Bursary Supplement
- To encourage diversity and reduce the financial barrier to education at RRU for an applicant with an extraordinary life circumstance.

- Available to children of international alumni who wish to pursue their undergraduate education at Royal Roads in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
